I was going for a walk, in the street where I was born, were I lived as young, we used to play here all night long
Passing the houses of old friends, turning right on a street that is covered with weed, to a within the sun
And the water there is brighter and the forest sounds of silence, and I hope that it will forever last
Turning back again, to the already mentioned street, just a few minutes away, and it's a right turn again, lies our football field
We used to stay here, for days and days and days, playing game after game, changing teams once again, until the sun has gone away
And the grass here is greener and the goals we scored were magic, and I hope it will forever last
On the street again, on the bridge over the rail, on my left there is the store were we bought candy when we were small, some fifteen years ago.
And just a few steps more, in our community hall, playing ping-pong, drinking beer, bathing sauna, shed our fears, and stole tobacco like it was gold
But the stores are all closed now and the windows they are broken, but I hope that they will forever last
During the final steps, I get a sight of the old school, where we once were just kids, playing hockey, chasing kicks but now everything seems small.
And on the other side, lies the ruins of our house, I got a million memories there a million memories to share, but I don't have the time
Cause even though those years were simpler and the future is unwritten, you can't keep living in the past
But the memories still please me and they can never be forgotten, cause those memories will forever last

Sweetest Thing

She was done, nothing more to say when he came,
he was in the way, oh just move, maybe don’t please stay
It was war nothing’s wrong or right
but he knew he knew deep inside
he meant to fight
Sweetest thing, the sweetest thing,
the sweetest thing that could happen
They were young didn't need to feel,
I was there saw them force the kneel,
took a breathe screamed for everyone
You're alone ain't it Christmas day,
there’s really no reason for you to stay
but you do, since she knows the way
Oh no I couldn't say no
Oh no I could have stayed for a thousand years
thousand years
Oh no I couldn't say no
Oh no I could have lived for a thousand years
For a thousand years
Sweetest thing, sweetest thing
that could happen
Sweetest thing
you're the sweetest thing,
you're the sweetest thing
that has happened
Oh no I couldn't say no
Oh no I could have stayed for a thousand years
thousand years
Oh no I couldn't say no
Oh no I could have lived for a thousand years
thousand years
Oh no I couldn't say no
Oh no I could have stayed for a thousand years
thousand years

Lust For Life

Comin' out of misery, back to the old energy, takin' part in our daily show
Think of what has been before, made a move and slammed the door, future will remain in the unknown
Face the face of the race, try to understand
Why are we here and what do we want
The answer is easy, let's spread it around
Loud and proud, we're gonna say it now
Live - Life - Easy
Live - Life - Easy
Many things to think about, bring me up or bring me down
A lot of things I hardly understand
What is good and what is fair, problems solved, but I don't care
Sometimes it's just getting out of hand
Face the face of the race, try to understand
I know that you know that we can be strong
If we pull together we can get along
Loud and proud, we're gonna say it now
Live - Life - Easy
Live - Life - Easy
Let us fly away, let us praise the days
When the lust for life is stronger than the fear
Though we shiver and shake and we sometimes need a break
It's the lust for life that never disappears
Loud and proud, we're gonna say it now
Live - Life - Easy
Live - Life - Easy

She said I'm crazy but what does she knows?
Just shut your face and drink your pinot!
I don't wanna grow up it's pointless
And I don't care If you take the piss
Cause I'm growing old disgracefully
It's not your business so leave me be
Growing old disgracefully
I'm gonna do it 'till they bury me
She said, put your feet up and watch tv
Let me make you a cup of tea
Let's book a nice saga holiday
You gotta be bloody kiddin' me
Cause I'm growing old disgracefully
It's not your business so leave me be
Growing old disgracefully
I'm gonna do it 'till they bury me

Your Dreams (Acoustic)
03:37

You will never be defeated no matter how bad you are treated, and even though they try to strike you down
Cause your dignity and honesty is something that they will never find
And at night when you are sleeping you can feel their anger creeping, trying step for step to break you down
But hold to your dreams and keep them hiding them inside
Cause in your dreams, you can go so far away
and in your thoughts, you can go so far away
And your hunger, can take you so far away, away
And they will wake you after twilight with a gun under the limelight, and will force your knees onto the ground
But your dignity and honesty is something that they will never find
And even though they are desided, to repress you to be blinded, and they took away your one last smile
You hold to your dreams and keep them hiding them inside
Cause in your dreams, you can go so far away
and in your thoughts, you can go so far away
And your hunger, can take you so far away, away
Everything is naked, you have been inside their haven, you have seen through all their stories
But your freedom and your happiness were something you deserted, it can never be inverted
Cause in your dreams, you can go so far away
and in your thoughts, you can go so far away
And your hunger, can take you so far away, away
Cause in your dreams, you can go so far away
and in your thoughts, you can go so far away
And your hunger, can take you so far away, away
